Hydrogen as the future of rail? 4th edition of the conference „HYDROGEN RAIL” – HYDROGEN4RAIL – FUTURE OF TRANSPORT
Representatives of the railway industry met for the fourth time at the „HYDROGEN RAIL” – HYDROGEN4RAIL – FUTURE OF TRANSPORT conference organized by the Polish Railway Chamber. Lukasiewicz – Poznan Institute of Technology was not only a participant of this event, but also its gold partner.
The conference took place from 19 to 21 of June 2024 at Poznan University of Technology. The first day was dedicated to science and featured many lectures and presentations. Mateusz Motyl and Eryk Frąckowiak gave one of them. They talked about the safety management of hydrogen systems in the railway sector.
On the second day, Lukasiewicz – PIT representatives took part in a discussion panel „Hydrogen – fuel of the future”. It was moderated by Piotr Tarnawski, Director of the Centre for Modern Mobility. His interlocutors were Marek Nitkowski (Chairman of the Board of Koleje Wielkopolskie), Arkadiusz Kawa (Director of Lukasiewicz – Poznan Institute of Technology), Adam Wawrzyniak (Member of the Board of PKP Intercity), Witold Gadoś (Sales Director of Passenger Rolling Stock at Siemens Mobility) and Janusz Kucmin (Sales Director of Stadler Polska).
